On May 9-11, 2018 in Washington D.C., ASA will join a broad group of co-hosts to support the American Boating Congress (ABC). Numerous industry organizations have agreed to co-host ABC, joining the rallying-cry to strengthen the collective advocacy impact for recreational boating and fishing. An engaging lineup of event speakers will feature an influential group of policy specialists and industry authorities, as well as legislative and regulatory officials.

As a co-host, ASA is committed to growing the industry through public policy advocacy. Along with partner organizations across the industry, ABC co-hosts provide ongoing counsel and insight into what issues are of the most pressing interest to stakeholders and advocates, ensuring that ABC’s agenda will be packed with timely and relevant policy matters. Co-hosts attend ABC with representatives from their respective organizations, contributing to a dynamic dialogue during the event.

When constituents talk, Congress listens.

You are the industry’s most effective advocate. No lobbyist is as influential as an employer or employee from a Congress member’s district or state. Attending ABC and participating in Capitol Hill visits with others from your state is the best way to educate your representatives on issues that impact your business. It’s your opportunity to build and strengthen relationships that lead to a brighter future for the recreational boating industry. NMMA will arrange your meetings and provide talking points and other resources to guide you through the ABC experience. All you have to do is register and attend!
