This has certainly been an up and down spring so far. Outstanding fishing for a day or two during a too-brief warming spell, followed by a cold rain, wind and a drop in the water temperature which sours spring temperature progression. For example, Pymatuning Lake is 5 to 7 degrees behind its normal temperature for the first week of May. But hopefully we are reaching the point where cold fronts will not impact the bite so nega-tively…although the coming week looks wet, cool and breezy. Shallow water crappies, perch, bass, walleye and musky are being caught if you can get out on those better weather days. Roughly five weeks until of spring left – Go Fish!.
