This monster buck is somewhere in northern Kansas right now!

It is still early, but it’s starting to feel a lot like fall. And if you aren’t already pumped for hunting season, don’t worry, the Kansas Wildlife, Parks & Tourism Department has you covered.

That’s because earlier this week they posted to their Facebook page, a trail camera photo taken last month that shows a monster non-typical whitetail. Check this double-drop tined beauty out!

The photo was accompanied by one teasing caption.

“In case anyone out there is not fully excited about the upcoming 2017 Kansas hunting seasons… Here is a recent trail camera pic of a buck that would make any hit list! Only location disclosed is northern Kansas. Happy hunting.”

But even more interesting was when someone asked if the photo of the buck was taken on state ground. Once again, they know how to tease a hunter in the resulting comments.

Never has the following meme been more appropriate for Kansas hunters!

One thing is for sure, the Kansas Game Wardens certainly know how to get the public’s attention. That’s an awesome looking buck. Now excuse me while I check out how much it would take to head to northern Kansas on such short notice this year…
