deer scrape

Finally, a video that demonstrates what can happen when you pee on a buck scrape.

I guarantee this isn’t the first time you’ve heard this idea. The first time I did, I thought my friend was messing with me. Then again, the logic makes sense: the buck that made the scrape might want to assert dominance. Or, it might smell me out as a human and not come back.

I guess there’s only one way to find out, right?

The video below shows what can happen when you try to mark a buck’s territory.

Well, that turned out to be a little inconclusive. Personally, I think the reaction from the first buck is what I would focus on. Although the deer didn’t leave the area, something definitely spooked it. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I make it a habit to try not to let any deer know I’m in the area. I’ll let you decide what to do the next time you see a scrape, but as for me, I will be peeing elsewhere.
