The Preserve is the place to be. Hunting, rock climbing, sporting clays, swimming pools, star gazing, zip lining, golfing, hiking and my favorite thing fishing. So I set it up. Me and seven of my buddies camping and fishing at The Preserve.
The Preserve
The idea was formed by a brilliant man
They all said he was crazy and were not a fan
The idea was simple, to enjoy the outdoors
He thought it was sound and wanted applause
He said if we build it, they will come
The Best Catch Ever
So fishing is my thing. I love to fish. I fish for anything: bass, trout, blues, stripers, fresh, salt, rain, shine, ice, boat, shore. It simply doesn’t matter it’s my thing, so why would it? My other thing, being a dad. Now that’s my thing. I’d do anything for my boys, take em anywhere, do any crazy thing they say, make funny faces, eat bugs or dirt, most importantly guide them to become good men, and yeah, take them fishing.
The Real Preserve 18
Well it’s September again, and you know what September means to the folks here at The Preserve. Yep its club championship time. I’m sure you have heard of The Preserve 18, the greatest contest on the planet with 18 million dollars up for grabs. Well this is the real Preserve 18, the one where members and team members compete not for 18 million, but for bragging rights as the best golfer of the year.
The Preserve at Sixteen
Waking up on this Thursday, I had no idea what was in store for me. My dad came in as he always does, to get me up at 6:15 am to have my usual Eggo’s or cereal or even his occasional homemade pancakes before hitting the school bus at 7:00 am. What was different today? Dad asked “what are you doing this Saturday?” “Why?” I replied. He said snippily, “Do you have plans or what?” My reply, “No”. He said, “You do now!”
