Grand Slam turkey hunting at its finest means archery tackle only and no blinds allowed.
Grand Slam turkey hunting is hard enough. Accomplishing it with archery tackle and without the use of a blind is even harder. Jordan Barnes of Close Proximity TV did this very thing last turkey season. He hunted in his home state of Georgia, then traveled to Florida, Kansas and South Dakota. This accomplishment requires a lot of time and money, but if you budget it right, you can make it happen for a reasonable price.
Oh, I forgot to mention he self-filmed the whole thing, too.
Jordan does a good job explaining his self-filming tactics, along with how to seal the deal with several different gobblers. In case you missed it, Jordan shot these birds at 18, 12, 5 and 9 yards. Needless to say, these birds come in close. This obviously requires a lot of patience and practice drawing the bow and letting down.
