bow hunting fast game birds

Think you could hit a bird in mid-flight with an arrow?

This series of archery harvests by Tim Wells is truly amazing. He takes off for Argentina to go bowhunting for some of the fastest game birds on the planet. This hunt involves shooting ducks, dove, grouse and parakeet all with a bow. It’s truly stunning.

What I like about this hunt is the gear Tim Wells utilizes. Obviously he’s got his bow, but he’s also tipped his arrows with a very unique broadhead. It contains long curved blades to increase the chances of hitting the bird.

When hunters hunt for these birds with guns they have to lead these birds significantly because they are flying so fast. Similarly, Wells leads these birds 6-8 feet it seems.

Out off all these birds, Wells claims the parakeet is the best-tasting. Parakeets are nuisance birds to farmers, so he takes to the fields and shoots a few.
