First Lite’s leadership role is now held by Ross Copperman, effective immediately.
First Lite announced the promotion of Ross Copperman to the lauded position of President following seven years of loyalty and hard work. He’ll be leading the company from First Lite’s Ketchum, Idaho headquarters.
The former VP of Sales and Marketing, Copperman assumes the leadership role from the original founders Kenton Carruth and Scott Robinson, and continues some reorganization as the company continues under the new MeatEater, Inc. ownership.
“We’re thrilled to have Ross step into the President’s role and look forward to executing our shared vision for what the First Lite brand can achieve,” said Kevin Sloan, MeatEater CEO. “Ross and the experienced leadership team we have in place will ensure that we meet our business goals, continue to strengthen our burgeoning community and build upon the company’s leadership position within the industry.”
Copperman’s two decades of outdoor industry experience has helped prepare him for this role, and judging by his thoughtful response to the news of his promotion, he’s the right man for the gig.
“Since the brand’s inception in 2007, First Lite has been committed to delivering only the finest in technical apparel to hunters and I’m honored to carry that charge forward,” said Copperman. “With the team, ownership, partners and friends we have moving forward, we’re in a great position to continue to build upon the tradition here at First Lite and deliver on our overarching brand promise of innovation, performance and helping our customers get the best out of their time outdoors.”
First Lite‘s mission is to create simple, proven, versatile gear that provides comfort and performance in any situation, while working to promote the pursuit of ethical hunting and stewardship.
With this promotion, it only seems logical they’ll continue it under the great leadership of someone who believes in and practices that mission.
