I have exciting to news to share with you. The popular Great Outdoor Radio Show I host is moving and going to a network!
That’s right! After more than 25 years at one radio station, the Great Outdoor Radio Show, produced by Gerry Gray/Great Plains Marketing, is moving to the Omaha-based Boomer Radio Network of stations beginning this Saturday, July 27th.
Coverage is expanding!
The Saturday morning, one-hour long, LIVE, interactive show will still run from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Central Time but on these Boomer stations in the Omaha and surrounding area: 94.5 FM, 97.3 FM, 104.1 FM, 1490 AM and 1420 AM.
The show can also be heard online by clicking the Listen LIVE link at www.myBoomerRadio.com
Boomer Radio can also be accessed by using your Amazon Echo, Dot or any other Alexa-enabled device.
A podcast (recording) of the show is even in the works.
Expect the continued variety of outdoor experts from different genres of Nebraska’s outdoor scene and beyond!
Recently, Denise Lewis of Fontenelle Forest’s Raptor Recovery team was on the broadcast with Chinook, a live screech owl, which was in the studio with us!
Notables such as Governor Pete Ricketts, Tom Osborne, Bill Moos, Ross Jernstrom, Ralph Kohler, Tom Miranda, Dick Turpin, Herb Angell, Bob Foral, Jimmy Houston, Brenda Valentine and many others have been on the program, too.
Among the professionals from the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission that you have heard on the show and will still hear, are: Conservation Officer – Rich Berggren, Captain/Law Enforcement Division – Duane Arp, Fisheries Outreach Program Manager/Fisheries Biologist – Daryl Bauer, Park Naturalist – Amber Schiltz, Outdoor Education Specialist – Christy Christiansen, Waterfowl Program Manager/Wildlife Biologist – Dr. Mark Vrtiska, Regional Park Manager – Bill Oligmueller and Park Superintendent – Jason Grof . There will be more!
I invite you to listen (hear the wildlife calls) and join the conversation!
Be reminded that the Great Outdoor Radio Show is about what information you want to know about a specific topic from a special guest. Also, feel free to ask me any Nebraska Game and Parks Commission-related questions.
I look forward to chatting with you on the air. And, by the way, stay tuned for us broadcasting LIVE at various locations in and around the community as well!
