Responding to requests from law enforcement, Honor Defense is proud to announce two new Honor Guard versions specifically designed for backup and off duty use by police personnel. Both pistols will also be available for commercial use.
The new HG9CLE and the HG9CLEMS (manual safety) pistols feature 3.8-inch barrels on a stainless-steel modular chassis. Like the other commercial models, the pistol is assembled with 100% USA parts and materials. The stainless-steel slide and barrel both feature a ferritic nitro-carburized finish and designed to handle +P ammunition.
Both the HG9CLE and the HG9CLEMS come with two eight round magazines – and two backstraps to fit a variety of hand sizes. While other brands use plastic striker housings, Honor Defense utilizes stainless-steel striker housing with an integrated striker block for safety. Both pistols are completely ambidextrous for easy manipulation by both left- or right-hand Officers, or one-handed operation if necessary.
“Honor Defense pistols have been developed for professional use and both models will also be available to civilians. We will begin to ship these models prior to the 2017 NRA Show,” said Gary Ramey, President of Honor Defense. “We are proud that several police departments have recently approved the Honor Defense pistols for use by Officers as backup and off-duty handguns.”
