There’s no question about it. If you can hit an animal right in the pump house (yes, the heart) you’ll drop it like a sack of potatoes.
Maybe the easiest, most sought-after shot is one through the lungs. Getting your arrow or your bullet to pass through both lungs is maybe the best and most sure way to harvest your favorite game animal. There’s a great slow-mo replay at 3:28.

When they finally got to the deer there was an obvious pass-through hole on the deer’s right side.
Any lung shot is good simply because a little error can still be tolerated. Even if you don’t get to see your deer fall, finding that foamy, pink blood trail usually won’t take you too far.
