Summer officially has arrived! After unusually slow spring, reports are coming in from across NW PA that fishing is improving. It’s full steam ahead for walleyes and crappies at Pymatuning, plus reports of success for multiple species at Shenango Lake. As water levels recede from most recent storms, smallmouth bass on the Allegheny River are moving into summer locations. Plenty of walleye action at Lake Erie. While Erie perch were missing through the spring, recent reports have perch schools moving into western PA waters. Bluegills are biting everywhere, and big catfish are showing up in the shallows as they go into their spawn period. With the big 4th of July Holiday period just around the corner, check out what’s biting and where in PA Great Lakes Region
