KUIU has been rather busy with new releases lately. Now they have announced a newly redesigned lightweight hydration pack for keeping the user fast and light on their feet. The company just relaunched the Stalker Pro 500 hydration pack. They say it is the perfect solution for hunters on the final stage of a long stalk or hikers and backpackers making a simple day trip in the wilderness.
The premium hunting clothing company designed the 8.2-liter Stalker Pro 500 to fit perfectly inside their KUIU PRO or PRO LT backpacks. Once you’ve finally spotted that big buck or bull, you can ditch all the heavy extras and finish the stalk using water and other essentials.

KUIU built these packs with a 160-denier CORDURA Nylon fabric with a K-DWR water-resistant treatment. It also gave it a Polygiene odor-resistant treatment, Duraflex Hardware, and YKK Zippers. Thinking about comfort, KUIU added Neo Air mesh panels on both the back and shoulder straps to add breathability in warmer weather. You can also remove the internal back panel to help with that.
You can stow the Stalker Pro 500’s shoulder straps internally if you use this with one of KUIU’s other packs, which is a big bonus. The hydration storage compartment is the big selling point. However, KUIU added some zippered storage pockets for smaller items like knives, hunting permits, and other small essentials for a hunting excursion. Compression straps help to keep everything stowed if you need to haul something more significant in the Stalker.
When KUIU said they kept this bag lightweight, they meant it. The package comes in at just 8.8 ounces, making it a true joy for spot and stalking and likely shorter day hikes. As you’ve probably expected with KUIU, the company offers this day pack in their signature Valo, Verde, and Vias camo patterns. They are also offering solid colors including ash and gunmetal. The blaze orange offering would be an excellent choice for anyone hunting public land while rifle season is in progress.
