Here’s a unique opportunity for Michigan’s youth hunters.
With Michigan’s deer seasons coming up fast, the Department of Natural Resources and Meijer stores have teamed up again to give youth hunters a unique opportunity.
This Friday and Saturday (September 8 and 9), youth hunters ages 10-16, can get a junior deer hunting license for free at Meijer stores across the state.

Meijer has been offering the free licenses to younger hunters since 2008. In order to get one of the free licenses, young hunters must still buy one of Michigan’s $6 base licenses. But considering the fact, the junior deer hunting license costs $20 by itself, it’s not a bad deal at all.
Kids wanting to get a license must be accompanied by an adult when they go to redeem the coupons.
Kudos to Meijer stores for coming up with a unique way to hopefully get more youth hunters into the deer woods this fall!
