Tidal Basin, Washington, DC. It was extremely fogging that day and very early in the morning. The color is from the ambient lights around. Making sure the exposure was what I wanted took some time. Some of the dark areas of the first tree were lightened in Lightroom. Other minor processing was done to enhance the ambient light. Sandy Adams is a professional photographer living in Washington, DC. She received her photographic education at Rochester Institute of Technology before pursuing a career in law enforcement. After many years of doing photography “on the side,” and as owner of Outdoorvizions Photography, she recently decided to pursue her passion for photography full time.

Only challenge I had was to stand on my truck to get the angle I was looking for while making sure I didn’t slip. Canon 5D Mark III, Canon EF 70-200mm IS USM. The challenge was trying to create images of DC that haven’t been seen before or you would think of in popular locations but often times overlooked.
