Watch archery trick shot legend Luigi Di Michele go for the world record: one arrow vs. 38 water balloons!
Have you ever wondered how well an arrow would destroy a water balloon?
According to the Guinness World Records YouTube Channel, “The most waterballoons burst with a single arrow is 38 and was achieved by Luigi Di Michele (Italy) on the set of CCTV – Guinness World Records Special in Jiangyin, Jiangsu, China.”
Luigi Di Michele broke his old recored of 33 set back in December, 2012, and it’s as awesome as you’d imagine.
For archery enthusiasts and bowhunters everywhere, this is the kind of video that will instill a sense of wonder and that resounding feeling of, “Hey, I could do that!” But don’t be too sure.
If you’re in need of bowhunting or archery gear, find it here.
Broadheads and mechanical blades aside, this fellow only needed a target tip for this feat.
If you watch again closely, you may notice that his arrow, thanks to the wonderful slo-mo video, only hit the very top of the water balloons where they were attached to the hanger.
Had he aimed for the center of each balloon, he may have lost too much velocity and power to pull this off. For once, here is a great and simple trick that we don’t mind saying you could try at home.
Certainly keep all of the basic safety rules in place, take some video, and post it. You never know, you may just be the next record holder for Guinness!
