YakGear offers silent and effortless shallow-water anchoring for kayaks, canoes, SUP and small boats with the YakStick Floating Stake-Out Stick. The YakStick features a true mud foot to also serve as a push pole. YakGear offers two lengths for steady kayak anchoring even in hard bottoms.
“When developing the YakStick, we looked at similar products to identify any deficiencies and designed our stake-out stick to address these shortcomings,” said YakGear President Bill Bragman. “With the ability to float, a rigid nylon point, camera attachment points and a true mud foot handle for push-poling, we have created the most versatile shallow-water anchor available.”
Constructed from cross pultrusion-formed fiberglass for superior strength, the YakStick features a unique, multi-purpose handle that doubles as a true mud foot. The YakStick’s nylon tip firmly anchors kayak in hard bottoms with ease and provides a strong and firm anchoring point. An oversized foam grip offers comfortable handling while the flow-through holes in the mud foot provide a secure anchor rope attachment point.
The YakGear YakStick is available in two lengths (6 feet, 4 inches and 8 feet, 7 inches). Anglers who enjoy filming their day on the water can take advantage of the YakStick’s compatibility with YakGear and RAILBLAZA camera accessories that easily attach to the YakStick.
“More and more anglers are incorporating filming into their fishing,” said Bragman. “We designed the YakStick to accept a variety of camera mounting accessories from Railblaza and other companies to increase the versatility of the product. The YakStick can also be stored out of the way with our line of paddle clips.”
